Dear , what's the best way to transfer files to others securely without using GPG? (Recipient doesn't have GPG keys)

@david_ross thanks! I also use Proton Mail which has a similar feature, but this is a great one.

@thinkMoult putting it in a .7z with a strong password can't hurt, those have fairly decent encryption

@flussence thanks! I ended up using
send.firefox.com
github.com/mozilla/send - perhaps I should also mention I am using Proton Mail, which has similar features.

@thinkMoult onionshare, syncthing. You could also do it with dat with an encrypted file made with Tomb if you share the symmetric key via another method like xmpp/omemo

@bob recipient is non technical unfortunately. I ended up with send.firefox.com/

@thinkMoult encrypt files with cryptomator and send it over send.firefox.com?

@nxferenc thanks! That's exactly what I ended up doing.

@thinkMoult Magic Wormhole. I haven't used it, but it looks promising (and I'd be interested in others' experiences): magic-wormhole.readthedocs.io/
