Today I've been trying the Alabaster theme for #vscode and it is very nice. I think I'll keep it!
@timriley Ha! What about plugins?
@d Trying to get a combo of plugins that worked for me always felt sisyphean, especially compared to editors that offered a superior, integrated experience, out of the box. Talking things like indexing projects for constants, autocomplete, decent file browser trees, etc.
I guess in the end I never thought it was worth it for the "nerd cred." I always felt plenty speedy working with tools like TextMate, ST, now vscode.
What do you use?
@timriley Neovim + tmux everywhere now. It’s *great*.
@timriley I love that when I SSH to my server it’s the exact same setup as my home and work machines, too.
@d You know, I've been thinking about this. Your setup is interesting... maybe you could point me to an internet web page that describes what tools you use and how you use them?
@timriley That sounds like a horrible idea.
