@__h2__ @fdroidorg I suppose a lot of those issues come from the fact its based on Electron. It if it was a Qt Widgets app or something like that it could be more easily ported and blended into the DE, not to mention the efficiency gains.
@__h2__ @fdroidorg Man, F-Droid is definitely something I crave. There are unofficial repos already, but the proper deal would be sweeet. Also, what exactly are you referring to with "a proper desktop client"? I think it's pretty decent. Sure, it could be polished more, but tbh it's better than WhatsApp's web client for example.
The developers of Signal are currently doing a user survey:
https://surveys.signalusers.org/s3
I told them that I really like the app but also that I would like:
a) Signal on @fdroidorg
b) a proper desktop client
c) no data stored in "secure enclaves"
Maybe you'd like to tell them, too?

I need a new laptop, this one is falling apart lol
I'm unsure what to get: Xiaomi notebook, XMG Core 15 or XMG Fusion 15.
I mostly care about good and long lasting battery, as I'll be mostly working. However, I'd also like to game, play some stuff I never had the chance to because of always having poor hardware.
The Fusion 15 would be perfect if not for the now somewhat obsolete CPU...
Any thoughts?
