Today in 🤯, a security agent at Heathrow told me that a millimeter-wave scanner “isn't a computer”, and that “It doesn't have a processor, there's no where for it to store a picture.”. So that was fun.

@tomlowenthal I've gotten that argument from a TSA agent as well. I think he sincerely believed it: there wasn't a separate tower-shaped thing (he often pointed at the scanner structure as proof), so there must not be a computer involved.

@npd I though that might be the sitch, and suggested looking on top of the machine: there's an obvious server just sitting there. But they knew what I was talking about and told me *that* wasn't a computer either!
