Well, I *was* feeling better.
These are the days I regret taking the voluntary layoff.
I was making progress but now it seems I'm slipping back.
If you're whining that the GDPR "could kill off data-driven online services and chill innovations like driverless cars" you need to pause and realize that it will kill off lazy and/or predatory practices that have preyed upon individuals for years and years. Clean up your act!

I've been avoiding the social medias lately because I the steady stream of distressing news got a little hard to take. My mood's been better as a result. Fancy that.
I used to have the goal of being succcessful but I could never define for myself what "successful" actually meant. Now my goal is to make things better, and it's something I don't have to worry about defining.
I’m not saying this to gather sympathy. It’s to point out the folly of hoping for validation from others. Do what you like as if you’re the only one who matters. Because you are.

I was a volunteer firefighter for over 30 years when my town put us out of business in 2012. I still miss it every day. None of the volunteer work I've done since has been able to take its place.
Entering what could well be a critical time in my life. But this will be the first time I’ve ever gone through something like this with help.
