Amazon is forcing delivery drivers to undergo surveillance of their location, movement, and biometric data. And if they don't sign the "consent" form? They are fired.
@freedompeeler @torproject That's been added to the massive pile of dirt on #Amazon: https://git.disroot.org/cyberMonk/liberethos_paradigm/commit/0636b700fff0a004eb94c35ee8f1b1a2410800a1
Suppose you are given the "choice" to sign a form or contract and you choose to not sign it. Sure, you chose not to and quite possibly were wise in your decision BUT now you will be replaced by someone who IS willing to sign their self away in exchange for money/a payoff.
If that's not coercion I'd very much appreciate it if someone told me what the hell it is.
@torproject How is this any different than any other delivery driver, utility worker, telecom worker, and likely many electricians, plumbers, and other trades? Many long time employees have found this surveillance forces upon them at some point in their careers.
