I meet with a Chinese grad student weekly for him to practice his English. We talk about politics, food, culture. It's fun. Today I sat down and he had a serious look on his face. "I need to ask you a question. My wife was invited to a . . . baby shower. She found out it's a party, but will there be . . . water?" Only after I explained did I remember the old 'terrifying if literal' twitter joke.

I don't think I've earned these extra characters.

What do you call that part in "Jesus Christ Pose" when the rhythm guitar is building to just a sharper and sharper chant and Cornell's hammering "nails" with his voice, and then finally the dam breaks around 3:35 and the chorus comes back only this time another rhythm guitar starts echoing? I know the next part is the bridge, so would you just say that this is also the bridge? I don't know, it's cool.

Five hundred characters is a lot of tooting.
