Wait, let me get this straight, the GNU Social folks are complaining because Mastodon uses <p> tags in messages and GNU Social doesn't support it.
From what I understand OStatus requires that messages be in HTML.
Are GNU Social really saying that Mastodon "breaks federation" because it uses an HTML tag that's in the HTML spec and only causes problems for them because they couldn't be bothered to implement it?
