Some differences I have noticed after switching from English #animalcrossing #pocketcamp to the Japanese:
1. The Japanese materials have cutesy names like "essence of fluff-fluff" and "essence of clink-clink"
2. The personality differences are a lot clearer when you can see which villagers use kanji and which speak mostly using hiragana
3. The "smug" villagers openly flirt with you
4. Way too many villagers are concerned about weight gain

Yup! That, and their tendency to call Shizue "shizu-chan", are the main way that I identify them.
