Helio is an open-source, cross-platform, distraction-free music composition suite that runs on computers and on mobile devices (!).
if you have a phone or a tablet, but no computer - you can still make music with libre software!

Something tells me once can be incredibly productive with this...

@unfa ROTFL:

"Documentation is like sex: when it is good, it is very, very good; and when it is bad, it is better than nothing. "

@mmu_man Honestly I wish the author wouldn't be so explicit about it :D

@unfa OTOH explicit documentation is usually desired. But yeah…

Sadly it doesn't support LV2...
it is one issue about that, but it don't seem simple to implement.

@wargreen @unfa it is based on JUCE, so the support is kinda already there if we add in extra modules.
I will attempt this at some point, it is on my TODO.

So cool ! It can be very usefull for a frien that want migrate to a full FLOSS toolchain for compose !

@unfa looks interesting, need to give it a try!

I've been fascinated by keyboards pretty much forever but only one I own is on a Piano, looking to purchase a keyboard with a MIDI USB port. Would like a keyboard that is touch sensitive, but don't want to spend a mint since it's pretty much experimental at this point. Any suggestions?

@unfa Peter Rudenko, the developer, composes and plays good contemporary piano music too
