Just a friendly driving tip from a 27 yr veteran truck driver. If you are passing a large tractor trailer. Mash the gas and GO! Dont slow down like you are trying sneak past a sleeping dog.
Dont linger around us. We literally can not see you. And the longer you are there the higher the chance that something could happen. So mash the gas and tote that ass on by. Please!

Also the average tire on a semi has 110 psi. If you are just slowly passing a truck and riding right next to that tire when it overheats and blows it is possible that it could damage your car. I have seen those peices of tires take off the right mirror on a car before.
And if you are on a motorcycle? It could be deadly.
So please limit the amount of time you spend next to, in front of and behind a large truck.

@unklebonehead Make sure to pass then get directly in front of the semi and slow back down. Also make sure you stay right behind the trailer where you can NOT see their mirrors.

I'm fairly certain that is taught in drivers ed now days.

@jordan31 Being taught and people putting it to use is two different things.
