Hey , I'm looking to set up a password manager that our start-up can use in-house. What is a good password manager solution which is easy to install, trusted, and self-hosted? I DO NOT CARE IF IT'S WEB 1.0. I just need something that works and is secure. Could write one myself, I guess, but would prefer to use OTS solutions if one exists. Thanks!!

@vertigo I swear by pass (passwordstore.org/) nowadays. I don't know if "easy to use" is a requirement too but their list of third-party UIs looks promising.

@flussence If everyone here knew some basic Unix, I'd go with this. Alas, half the people who'll be using this are equipped with iPads and Microsoft Surfaces; a web-based interface is regrettably a hard requirement for us. :(

@vertigo Ah, that sucks.
It wouldn't be impossible to write a web UI for this, but it looks like nobody's tried. (I certainly wouldn't trust myself to get it right…)

@flussence Yeah; looking for a quicker solution. But, this looks like a good foundation for a web-based interface. I might consider writing one!

@vertigo @flussence haven't tested this but compatibility with keepass is a major bonus for me: keeweb.info/
