Scientific publishers propose requiring spyware in university libraries to "protect" copyrights

@volt4ire Never forget, never forgive what they did to Aaron Swartz. I fully endorse the ideas he was prosecuted for.

@volt4ire Knowledge doesn't belong to anyone, much less to corporations. The whole ideology of intellectual property is just fundamentally flawed and antithetic to science. Libraries should tell the copyright mafia where to stick it. And many are doing just that, sometimes simply because they can't afford the prices charged by the "publishers" (read: privatizers and paywallers) of scientific journals.
