Has any non-Mastodon platform implemented “Quote RT:s”? So that the original poster gets notified when someone quotes them?

WebUX: Frendica, Phanpy, Firefish, Tangerine UX?

Mobile app: IceCubes, Mona, Mamoth, Ivory…others I think….

@tchambers @pfefferle @snarfed.org @evan I know that eg Ivory shows quoted posts, but it’s purely presentational, in the post itself it’s embedded just like any hyperlink, not as part of the activity and as such eg no mention notifications

@voxpelli @pfefferle @snarfed.org @evan I think everyone is implementing this client side in awaiting the final spec for the full version with moderation features.

@ivory specifically said exactly that.

@tchambers But is it ActivityPub that doesn’t support it or just Mastodon?

If the entire ecosystem is “held hostage” because Mastodon doesn’t like quotes, then that’s bad?

@voxpelli @tchambers we have a mechanism to add `content` to an `Announce` activity. I'd like to see it more widely adopted. It's pretty straightforward.
