@warpgate9 It sounds like they want to get Valve to do their Linux QA for them via Steamplay.
"lots of specialised graphics programming because it's not directx" doesn't really make sense for Unity, and especially doesn't make sense if they're also shipping for Mac.
There can of course be bugs (although the video player certainly works; it's possible that they're confused about formats), but you don't drop a platform because of that unless you already wanted to drop the platform.
@Tak This is the thing that always gets me - the same reasons always get stated, but I feel this has nothing to do with the actual reasons. My tin foil hat self seems to remember that Microsoft used to have a "not allowed to even mention Linux" clause in their XBox contract, but I'm not sure if this is true anymore.
