My reflections on the last year (ish) of working on #Pinafore.
Since switching to Awesome I am missing the nice cohesive, just works experience of GNOME. On the other hand I’m loving using a tiling window manager. The idea of building a replacement for gnome-shell that still integrates well with the rest of the ecosystem but supported dynamic layouts like Awesome has been bumping around my head for the last couple of days. A tiling desktop environment if you will. 🤔
