I'm away visiting family, and I went to a baseball game with my brother last night. Between being out of my regular routine and the intense heat last night, I didn't drink anywhere near enough water. I woke up this morning with a killer headache.
Stay hydrated everyone. Take care of yourself.

Welcome home! I've been back in my parents' house for under an hour and the county warning sirens are going off.

The description of this jumper-cable bag is a wholly unexpected data point in favor of "guy" as gender-neutral: "This guy is equipped to take a beating. She is made from heavy duty waxed canvas construction."

The best bagel in the history of the world. I may be biased by the fact that it was the first thing I'd eaten in 30 hours. mastodon.social/media/qRS6rv2j

You know what would be an amazing Mastodon feature

The ability to mark an account as having sensitive media, so you can follow it, but choose when to view it (e.g. when you're in an appropriate place)

Not everyone has the same definition of "sensitive" or the same needs so this would be really great I think

The Washington Post has taken an interesting approach to GDPR: They literally put a price tag on privacy.

They give the reader the chance to either get a subscription _with_ tracking for $6 a month, or a tracking-free subscription for $9 a month.

That may feel weird, even unfair, at first, but I think it makes sense. They give people a chance to make a conscious decision to trade privacy for money.

I'm glad this story is finally taking positive turn.

I imagine with the weather all the airlines are having delays today. We got home to Orlando about 90 minutes late, but we're safe on the ground now.
