@wilkie Blocking is generally good, but the power to determine that should ultimately reside with the end user, with tools that work well and are easy to understand. It's more problematic when the people running an instance decide that for you.
@wilkie agreed. People self-filter their contacts in every aspect of life. They don't let people they don't like into their living rooms. They don't have lunch with the coworkers they can't stand, etc.
Blocking is an essential tool for keeping one's sanity on the internet. Particularly if you're not white male.
