@wingo I think they may be aphids, but would need a better photo to tell. Some of the white things are their cast-off skins (they molt as they grow). They suck the juice out of plants rather than nibbling on them. I think there's some insecticidal soaps you can whip up?
@wingo If they are aphids you can remove them using a piece of sticky tape wrapped around your finger. I never found the soap mixtures to be effective.
