@Gargron You don't have to bear that responsibility alone. Maintaining a big instance, alongside managing the project and leading development, is more than one person can do effectively. You need to delegate. Trust people. Listen, not just to the majority, but also to the experts. Your harshest critics are the ones you need to listen to most. Anybody who just tells you you're doing a good job, you can ignore.

@Gargron You can't learn much from your successes, but you can learn a lot from your mistakes.

So, please, Eugen, don't act as if this is nothing. Try to re-engage with the people who care most about Mastodon the project, and Mastodon the community. Apologise and make a fresh start. Build a team who could carry on smoothly if you quit. Involve them in the planning. Loosen your grip, and let it grow.
