@yogthos if the speaker is the host, and parasites can't be identified by the host, how can the speaker then in the next sentence identify the parasite?
(unless the speaker isn't the host, but that seems not to be the case here)
@niplav You're just creating a false dichotomy. Parasites thrive because they can't be detected by a sufficiently large percentage of their hosts, not because they can't be detected in principle.
