Nice, I was at a Tor conference a few weeks ago and they were talking about influencing changes upstream, this is a great example.
@yogthos on this topic, I think we need a browser (or an extension) that lets the user hook into JS to subvert known fingerprinting techniques.
Eg.: you could inspect the call trace and return a different resolution if you detect that it's coming from a tracking module
That example is of course not perfect, but this would open the door for more ingenious tricks.
