Mozilla just laid off 70 fantastic people. If you can help them - open positions, offering helpful conversations and references, anything else - please say so.
Use #MozillaLifeboat as an umbrella tag for easy finding. (It's already flowing on the birdsite.)
If you've been affected, I'm happy to chat directly. Also have some open positions (see rest of this thread). But doesn't have to be today - take time to recover if you can.
Most of all: thank you folks for making the web better.
Also, It's a great time to join public service. Local, state, and Federal gov are all working hard to use open source, agile practices and UX/service design. The people in those teams are WONDERFUL.
I was at TTS (18F - Federal) for 4 years and loved it there: https://join.tts.gsa.gov
The California Digital Services teams are doing amazing work that massively improves people's lives: https://github.com/CDTgithub/DigitalServiceOpportunities/blob/master/readme.md
@isagalaev Honestly, I haven't even had time to look. (Been juggling too many things today.)
@yoz got it. I'll ping you if I find something.
@yoz there it is: https://blog.mozilla.org/blog/2020/01/15/readying-for-the-future-at-mozilla/
tl;dr, they can't afford so many people anymore.
We have LOADS of open positions at LaunchDarkly. Most are in Oakland, but we're expanding in NYC and London too.

We just joined the Pledge 1% movement: https://pledgeitforward.today/launchdarkly-joins-the-pledge-1-movement/
I've been here four months and love it. Want to learn more? Let's chat.
