We need collective action. Otherwise, we have no power.
I propose a boycott of Automattic products.
#WordPress MUST NOT be burned down from the whims of an out-of-control leader.

Take back WordPress!
@zackkatz unfortunately, it's not that simple. Automattic and all of those commercial things that Matt controls is what's keeps the lights on for all of WordPress.org. Killing the things Matt controls basically will kill all of WordPress.
We've all been living in a facad and the WordPress Foundation and WordPress.org is all smoke and mirrors.
@tim Doing nothing solves nothing.
Grind it to a halt. Turn it off and on again. Matt needs to go.
@zackkatz I don't disagree at all. I'm just not sure how we can get change to happen and do it with the least amount of collateral damage.
@tim That's a good question to ask: how do we do this? It requires governance.
Matt is actively damaging WordPress. This is an _existential threat_.
@zackkatz just did it. Not a bad idea, I think.
Not gonna cancel the WordCamp talk that I have in a week since I already paid for travel/lodging and the attendees aren't the ones who did this.
@zackkatz what we need is something to happen like the movie Antitrust. We need a ride up inside of Automattic to take down Matt from the inside.
@tim Haven't seen it, but sounds interesting.
Has anyone made the case yet that Automattic has a monopoly on WordPress?
