@cwebber@octodon.social @KatS The good news is that the transphobic tagging system has now been rejected and superseded; the current state seems to be (optionally-namespaced) freeform tagging / Masto-style CWs.

I saw nostr similarly to motherfuckingwebsite - not as a thing to use, but as a thing to provoke a thought. Obv it has been developed to be somewhat ready for use since, but yeah, some of the hardest issues are solved in a noticeably cryptocoin-world way.
