I imagine a \"group\" which offers creativity to the world.
The group gets paid by subscribers. Each creator gets $(total creators/total income), with some knobs to tune for survival of the entity.
No top-heavy ceo structure. Wikipedia + Patreon + blog + cloud + git + youtube in nature. Non profit. Voting by all members for next-step decisions.

Hybrid income by way of whitelisted advertisers. Each creator asked (by some formula) to choose an advertiser and make a short sponsored segment. Keep careful stats to encourage advertiser spend. Reduce overall ad-nausea. When companies go bad, they are taken off whitelist. New ways to advertise, like custom search for products and reviews by creators. Intention is to motivate advertisers yet maintain neutrality.

Everyone welcome to join group as creator and maintainer etc. Obvious free rider and bad actor magnet. Will take clever software to control good from bad. No instant accounts, no ways to spam, no ways to bully, wide array of ways to control one's own comments etc. Tight API's (if any). Have overview of all activity and ways to seek patterns. Whole thing pivots around care of good actors.

Maintainers and coders on open-source basis. Perhaps \"group\" could be activity-pub based, but with a downward flow of money to the leaves and access to pattern data and whitelists and all security and actor-related options.
Reduce legal challenges by only allowing whitelisted music and video snippets (available for dl). Will have to automate scanning of video and music: anything *not* in whitelist rejected.

For most of the modern era (and most of history), few \"creatives\" have been able to make a solid living off the creative work itself.
People have done it as a hobby or part-time, or made their money from teaching, commissions, promotions, gig work and so on.
Question is if there will ever be room for more than a fraction to make the actual creative work be the main source of income.
