sciencedirect.com/science/arti Análisis cualitativo de la experiencia de un paciente de psicoterapia asistida por ketamina para el trastorno por uso de sustancias: sinergias empíricas con programas de doce pasos(Petrovitch, et al, 2025)

You can do whatever you want, but taking advice on how to save your life and how to live from people who are angry, bitter, and unhappy doesn't seem like a great idea.

Are they telling you about what they hate or what they love?

These are difficult times. We don't do politics in meetings for the sake of the whole, but don't expose yourself to people you don't know well either, for the sake of your own ass.

I am still surprised at the positions of some people I know.

Newcomers in a meeting talking about temptation and craving. One said "I guess I'll always have to deal with it, even the old timers do".

No, you don't. That's the point of the program. That's a battle you will eventually lose, and/or live miserably.

It's not a program of white knuckle abstinence, it's learning how to live and be comfortable.

"And we have ceased fighting anything or anyone – even alcohol."

I've heard and read people who couldn't get into AA because it's a religious program.

It is not. They weren't paying attention.

Almost everyone in AA had that negative reaction at first until they realized it wasn't true.

Don't let your bias kill you.

Things are getting frightening, and people are drawing into the rooms as a source of stability and comfort.

Lots of people have been talking about where people stand, but inside the rooms we don't get into that. Inside. But don't put yourself in danger.
