Amit / asuph<p>Day #14: A song that you&#39;d love to be played at your wedding.</p><p>I had a court wedding where there was not much of a chance of playing music, but I think when it comes to wedding songs, this is as good as any:</p><p>Al Green Let&#39;s Stay Together. </p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/30DaysSongChallenge" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>30DaysSongChallenge</span></a> </p><p>(This is already close to two months, but who&#39;s counting?)<br /> <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COiIC3A0ROM" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="">youtube.com/watch?v=COiIC3A0ROM</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>

You&#39;re going to ask me 1 song from 70s or 60s. </p><p>Here is just a random &quot;1970s Rock Songs&quot; listing. I&#39;m in the first page, and there are so many gems!</p><p>But ok, let&#39;s go with Layla, with Eric Clapton &amp; Duane Allman </p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/music" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>music</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/ClassicRock" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ClassicRock</span></a> </p><p><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfbJ5clkI1k" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="">youtube.com/watch?v=MfbJ5clkI1k</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>

And to listen to Ilaiyaraaja&#39;s fabulous Ae Zindagi Gale Laga Le was an experience I&#39;ve not forgotten. Later when we made a tape mix of &quot;new&quot; songs (I&#39;m old), we started with this one, me and my sister. </p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/music" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>music</span></a> </p><p><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aw5FN0Dpy3Y" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="">youtube.com/watch?v=aw5FN0Dpy3Y</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>

I have been just adding songs to my favorites rarely timing them out. If I have to choose one, though, I&#39;d choose <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/JohnColtrane" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>JohnColtrane</span></a>&#39;s &quot;A Love Supreme&quot;. One of the greatest piece of music ever written. <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/jazz" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>jazz</span></a> </p><p><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMCHDC2Lurk" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="">youtube.com/watch?v=vMCHDC2Lurk</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>

What a wonderful man!</p><p>What a Wonderful World.</p><p><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfuw3CZQuwk" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="">youtube.com/watch?v=qfuw3CZQuwk</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>

Of course, there are better songs. Doors and Clapton and so on, but hey, you gotta listen to this one if you haven&#39;t already (and you&#39;re likely to have listened to those others already). </p><p><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iAYhQsQhSY" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="">youtube.com/watch?v=1iAYhQsQhSY</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>

This is interesting. I&#39;ve two left feet of stone. I can&#39;t dance. Unless I&#39;ve had a few pegs too many. But I can understand the urge to dance. Like no one&#39;s watching. And here&#39;s one such song, the ever-green finale song of Dirty Dancing: (I&#39;ve Had) The Time of My Life.</p><p><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpmILPAcRQo" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="">youtube.com/watch?v=WpmILPAcRQo</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>

A longing to meet and talk to them before leaving the world. It is one of the most beautiful things I have listened to in recent years.</p><p>Akhiri Salaam By Diljit Dosanjh<br /><a href="https://youtu.be/vkE2W2eVO6I?feature=shared" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">youtu.be/vkE2W2eVO6I?feature=s</span><span class="invisible">hared</span></a></p>

So let&#39;s just go with a song which reminds me of my experience of summers in Punjab as a kid.</p><p>Tadi Pagg Walaya by Ravinder Grewal<br /><a href="https://youtu.be/R_Ptg3_85XM?feature=shared" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">youtu.be/R_Ptg3_85XM?feature=s</span><span class="invisible">hared</span></a></p><p>This is definitely Nostalgia speaking. My father had a cassette for the album this song belongs to. During the summer vacations this song was our jam! Good times.</p>
