Máňa Zalabák<p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/QEMU" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>QEMU</span></a> is becoming one of my favorite <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/FOSS" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>FOSS</span></a> projects. Some reasons why:</p><p>- it&#39;s a de-facto reference tool for <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>linux</span></a> VM framework (KVM), making it essential for cloud development and even deployment<br />- you can plug in a debugger and debug OS kernels with it<br />- it&#39;s cross-arch capable - you can run software for different CPUs with it<br />- it can run <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/windows98" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>windows98</span></a> with good performance and with patches it can even run <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/3dfx" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>3dfx</span></a> games<br />- it has fully featured Sound Blaster 16 for some reason<br />- many more</p>
