Apropos: Können wir nochmal drüber sprechen, wie großartig #BlueEyeSamurai ist? Gut, mit japanischer Synchro wärs wahrscheinlich noch besser, aber werde trotzdem bislang sehr gut unterhalten.

Ich habe einen Hochschulabschluss in Geschichte und es hat trotzdem bis heute Vormittag gedauert, bis mein Gehirn realisiert hat, dass der Tokugawa Ieyasu, der in der Filmreihe zu #YiSunsin den bösen Oberwidersacher mimt, DER Tokugawa Ieyasu ist, mit dem wir in #Shogun beim Kampf um die Herrschaft in Japan mitfiebern. Also der, der in Sekigahara gewonnen und dann die Edo-Zeit inklusiver kompletter Isolation Japans eingeläutet hat, welche wiederum den Hintergrund für #BlueEyeSamurai bildet. Uff.

Die Qualität von #Netflix Serien ist ja oft sehr durchwachsen. Bei Animationsserien liefern sie aber wirklich ab und sind teilweise auf höherem Niveau als animierte Kinofilme.
Blue Eye Samurai ist ein so düsteres, erwachsenes Rachedrama voller Sex und Gewalt und dabei auch noch unglaublich elegant animiert.
Kaum zu glauben, dass solche Serien kaum Aufmerksamkeit bekommen.
