@alexbayleaf In my experience, most of the picture pirates on Mastodon have links to some sort of payment system (paypal, kofi), though that is sometimes obscured via linktree. I'm really surprised at how many of the people I follow get sucked into boosting these people. If I see a great post that uses somebody else's photograph it doesn't even get a like. Wish people just used links to original images ... it's easy. #dcma #copyright #photography

Es mach doch gar keinen Unterschied ob die takedown Nachricht an Microsoft oder an die "alten" Besitzer von GitHub gegangen wäre, beide hätten nach US Recht das repository vom Netz nehmen müssen.

It's been 2 years and I'm finally getting antsy about receiving my #Ono #3DPrinter. I'd kinda put it our of my mind while I waited for them to get the production and certification finished, and now that I'm looking at how they intend to operate, I'm a little upset. Aside from a disturbing trend in 3d printering companies to add #DRM to filament or resin, they are also requiring that models go through their app, which makes it ripe for #DCMA abuse from patent trolls and others.
