Dell 14 Plus is an Intel Lunar Lake laptop that picks up where the Inspiron 14 Plus left off

The Dell 14 Plus and Dell 14 Plus 2-in-1 laptops are now available with prices starting at $1100 and $1050, respectively. Both are notebooks with Intel Lunar Lake processors and 14 inch displays, but the 2-in-1 model has a convertible touchscreen display while Dell 14 Plus is a clamshell that’s available with a few more configuration options.

Pondering replacing old computer of my dad with "new"(er) #Optiplex 3060 (from ancient #Dell with Intel Core2 Duo E8400 to Intel Core i5-8500T :D) and wondering which OS to use… #Windows 11 (included) does rub me the wrong way but I fear if #Linux breaks and whether they will be able to fix it :/

I got my hands on old Dell Vostro 3560 which I'm planning to restore and use as a backup machine instead of current Thinkpad (as 1080p screen and dedicated GPU makes Dell way more attractive).
I'll have to buy new charger, battery (not a priority tho), add 2nd 4GB ram stick (8GB is still ok for my needs) and an SSD (will relocate existing HDD replacing the DVD drive).
And ofc will put some Linux on top.
I hope for fun and enjoyable process :)

Got two #dell precision 7510 laptops salvaged from destruction. They don't have batteries. Tried powering them with via PSU. The battery led flash amber and white, telling I am not using a genuine Dell PSU but the adapter is actually genuine. Anyone got an idea?

Question for the #Dell servers specialists and/or older integrators/maintainers out there:

Does someone know if the #PowerEdge T310's IPMI/BMC supports #IPv6 ?

My particular unit is running firmware v1.6.0 + BMC system v1.70.15 (latest available on Dell drivers website) and I can't set anything regarding this protocol via BIOS setup nor ipmitool - but it explicitly says "IPv4" on the setup page, which means it is aware of the current protocol existence.
And I know it's old, don't @ me on that.
