"If you have any accounts you no longer use, you need to delete them. Deleting old accounts means your data is no longer hosted by those services, and they cannot continue to collect, sell, or share it. This also cleans up your digital footprint, which contains all your passive and active online activity. Additionally, deletion can act as protection from data breaches, which seem to happen every damn day."

For any #HamRadio people considering making a #PublicComment re: the #FCC 'In Re: Delete, Delete, Delete' docket, please know that a policy “public comment” is not the same as sending your senator an email. It’s normally done by scientists and lawyers. Not that we can’t do it, but we need to do our homework first. Here’s a good starting place: https://publiccommentproject.org/how-to
Well, I've clicked the "Delete" button and I my account has changed... but it's still there... though it has been altered. I will need to check again in a week I guess.

The delete Pinterest email continues...
"We'll delete your account and delete your Pinterest account data after 7 days. If you change your mind before 7 days are up, log in with your email and password and we'll send you a link to reactivate your account."

I read one post that said Pinterest was going to use their ("our") data to train AI and that's all it took to log into the account I haven't use for years and hit "delete"...
But it's not that simple... see, they then send you an email:
"Deleting your account is permanent and means you won't be able to get your Pins or boards back. All your pinterest account data will be deleted."
