Oh Mann, da suche ich eine halbe Stunde, warum die Disqus Kommentare in meinem Blog nicht mehr funktionieren und finde dann endlich raus, dass #firefox seit längerem #Disqus nicht mehr lädt, wenn man "Enhanced Tracking Protection" im strict Mode konfiguriert hat. Und ja, das habe ich natürlich.

Damn! I just realised that #Disqus now injects ads of their own into my personal ad-free blog.

I guess I have to disable comments till I find an alternative and have the time to migrate to it. I know gisqus is one, but will need to look at it.

@Alien_Sunset If it were me, I'd probably go with #disqus because it's been around a while and is widely used

Just logged into #Disqus account for the first time in seven years. Interesting to see old comments I had made on articles and blog posts. I'd say about 3/4 of them are sites that no longer use Disqus. So when I look back at the comments in the context of the pages, those comment threads have just been disappeared from the page entirely.

A lot of them are news media sites that have just abandoned comments sections entirely.

Product idea: commenting-as-a-service like #disqus, but with no text area, just a sparkly AI "write a comment for me" button.

I'm updating my no_downvote_display extension to add support for Manifest v3 since I figure it's worthwhile to do so because downvotes can be bad mentally even with Google's anti-adblock thing. Officially I don't support Google Chrome or Chromium, but I do support #Vivaldi if you need a Chromium-based browser. Preferably I'd say to use Firefox if you can, though.
