Gingered<p>Thinking about maybe switching to Fedora Sway Atomic from Arch on my desktop, and to Fedora Budgie Atomic from KDE Neon on my laptop.</p><p>I've been "living in" Rocky and Alma Linux servers at work; it would be nice to consolidate my mindset on my home computers as well.</p><p>Love Arch, been using it since 2010 or so, and I could always go back.</p><p>KDE Neon is nice, I recommend it if you want a traditional PC experience without much technical knowledge.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>linux</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/distrohopping" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>distrohopping</span></a></p>

bogwitchZuerst hab ich <a class="hashtag" href="https://fe.disroot.org/tag/linuxmint" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#LinuxMint</a> installiert. Das war toll, aber in meinen Spielen funktionierte Alt-zum-Item-highlighten nicht.<br><br>Die <a class="hashtag" href="https://fe.disroot.org/tag/popos" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#PopOS</a> Oberfläche sah altbacken aus und hatte das gleiche Alt-Problem <br><br>Dann hab ich <a class="hashtag" href="https://fe.disroot.org/tag/kde" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#KDE</a> auf <a class="hashtag" href="https://fe.disroot.org/tag/mint" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Mint</a> installiert und war happy. Bis nach einen Update der Discover App store nicht mehr funktionierte, und damit auch Updates nur noch über Konsole.<br><br><a class="hashtag" href="https://fe.disroot.org/tag/kubuntu" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Kubuntu</a> hat Snaps die ewig luden, das hab ich schnell wieder weggemacht.<br><br>Dann hatte ich wieder <a class="hashtag" href="https://fe.disroot.org/tag/mint" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Mint</a> mit <a class="hashtag" href="https://fe.disroot.org/tag/kde" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#KDE</a>, aber Discover war immer noch kaputt <br><br>Auf <a class="hashtag" href="https://fe.disroot.org/tag/debian" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Debian</a> mit KDE bekam ich Steam nicht anständig ans laufen.<br><br>Auf <a class="hashtag" href="https://fe.disroot.org/tag/pikoos" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#PikoOS</a> das Gleiche Problem.<br><br><a class="hashtag" href="https://fe.disroot.org/tag/nobara" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Nobara</a> lief prima, aber der Store ist textbasiert, und die Spaltenbreite nicht änderbar. Ich kann also die Beschreibung nie ganz lesen.<br><br><a class="hashtag" href="https://fe.disroot.org/tag/opensuse" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#OpenSuse</a> kam mit meinem Monitor-Setup nicht klar und schaltete ständig random einen oder 2 aus. 😳<br>Oder entfernte jegliche Interaktion, zeigte ein Fenster aber noch an. Sehr Merkwürdig.<br><br>... jetz hab ich doch wieder <a class="hashtag" href="https://fe.disroot.org/tag/nobara" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Nobara</a>, weil es am wenigsten weh tut. It's a really cool project that makes it super simple to have multiple Live OS ISOs on a USB stick and boot to whichever is needed. Natomiast Tato łatwo „przeskoczył” z Minta z LXDE wpierw na zwykłego z Xfce, a potem na LMDE przyprószone cynamonem. Unifikacja ułatwiła mi uczenie ich samodzielnego rozwiązywania drobnych problemów i zgłaszania problemów, które raczej są dla nich „nieprzeskakiwalne”. Ponadto nie mają problemów w razie konieczności skorzystania z nie swojego sprzętu.<br>Przyczyna „przesadzenia” całej skomputeryzowanej części rodziny z Ubuntu Studio na LMDE, a nie zwykły Mint to temat na odrębną opowieść.</p><p>Oprócz laptopa mam jeszcze „blacharę” z SSD o efektywnej pojemności 111GB, na której „najdziksze wyprawiam swawole” ze skutecznym zainstalowaniem obok siebie czterech różnych dystrybucji włącznie. Aktualnie mam tam dwa systemy:<br>– podstawowy to oparty na Debianie AV MX Linux (dlaczego nie Ubuntu Studio, to część wspomnianej odrębnej opowieści);<br>– na mniejszej partycji miało być coś „normalnego”, jednak gdy prosty, oparty na Debianie, Netrunner z KDE Plasma zaczął regularnie „psuć” zegar podczas uruchamiania, wskutek czego każdorazowo musiałam ręcznie ustawiać zegar i kalendarz, to „pogoniłam go gdzie pieprz rośnie” i zastąpiłam Mageią, opartą na pakietach „rpm”, co ma tę zaletę, że zniechęca mnie to do wyżywania się na komputerze poprzez rzucanie zaklęć w terminal, bo na razie nie „umiem w dnf-y” (zaklęcia do tego typu pakietów), więc potulnie aktualizuję system i instaluję programy przez centrum oprogramowania i aktualizacji.</p><p><a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/distrohopping" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>distrohopping</span></a> <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/MXLinux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MXLinux</span></a> <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/Mageia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Mageia</span></a> <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/Debian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Debian</span></a> <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/Cinnamon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Cinnamon</span></a></p>
