Riding the G&G trail into Goderich proper. The conditions of the trail on the Blyth to Goderich section weren't as great but the views coming into Goderich from the trail were outstanding. Beats riding through vast suburbs to get to a downtown like so often happens when you approach a city or town. East Street Cider Co. was another big highlight!

Spent the weekend #biking the #G2G with my wife.

Friday we left #Waterloo out Northfield to meet the Guelph to Goderich trail, the whole trail is 132km, but we joined it 22km from Guelph. Our journey west had many short breaks to stretch, and about an hour stop at #CowbellBrewingCo in #Blyth. We exited the trail in #Auburn for a straight shot on back roads to get to our destination at #PointFarmsPrivincialPark. Distance covered was 125km.

Motherday was Moms Day (20/52/2023):
I had a great idea for a #Motherday post: Why not work on #Wikitree profile with my ancestors mother of the most kids? Then it was Moms Days - and I failed to figure it out which of my female #Ancestors has the most kids. I tried with #WikiTree+ . In the end I ended up with a #G2G post - waiting for someone smarter to crack the data. Not that you cannot spend a lot of time looking at ancestors profiles in WikiTree and beautifying them.

The Government of #WesternAustralia have released a new version of their application #ServiceWA.

This application was created during #COVID and it simply aggregated information from other Websites.

The company developing #ServiceWA, GenVis, is the same that developed the infamous #G2G application. #G2G was controlled by the State Police, who recently decided to change the data retention period from 30 days to 25 years!

GenVis are an AI startup focused on face identification and data reidentification. I find it peculiar that a company that develops surveillance technology are in charge of these CRUD Government applications.

The point is that the State Government decided to revamp their useless #ServiceWA as yet another bushfire alert tool (of which there is no shortage) based on your location. The Government has already confirmed that these location data will be retained for an unclear period of time and shared with law enforcement agencies as required.
