BioMed CentralThe impact of long COVID on heart rate variability: a cross-sectional study - BMC Infectious DiseasesBackground Long-term COVID-19 (LC), which may affect the autonomic nervous system (ANS), is the term for the symptoms that some patients had for an additional month after contracting the virus. Therefore, during the LC phase, ANS status was evaluated in patients with mild-to-moderate COVID-19 using heart rate variability (HRV), a measurement of ANS function. Methods A cross-sectional research with 173 participants - both positive and negative for COVID-19 – was conducted. Based on self-reports, patients with COVID-19 were classified as to whether they had LC or not. A 5-minute ECG recorder and data detection and response report were used to measure the ANS. Results There were notable age differences across the groups (p = 0.034). Patients with LC under 25 years of age had a lower HRV categorized as a very-low-frequency (VLF) domain (p = 0.012). Compared to the group without LC, a higher number of people in the LC group had aberrant autonomic neuroactivity (p = 0.048). Conclusion Mild-to-moderate patients with COVID-19 in young to middle age may develop autonomic dysfunction one month after infection.
So I have imbibed zero alcohol since the turn of the year. It’s not a panacea. But there are impacts. 83% increase in night-time HRV (RMSSD) which is pretty spectacular given that I also went back to work. #HRV

It seems that playing at the restaurant with my 5-year-old daughter is good for the mind A 50 ms HRV (heart rate variability) is high (for me) and it means a decrease in stress! 
And besides, she continues to refuse me imaginary chicken because « you can’t eat that daddy ». 
Ça a l’air que jouer au restaurant avec ma fille de 5 ans est bon pour le mental Une VFC (variabilité de la fréquence cardiaque) de 50 ms, c’est haut (pour moi) et ça signifie une baisse du stress!
Et d’ailleurs, elle continue à me refuser du poulet imaginaire parce que « tu as pas le droit papa ».

Elle me fait bien rire mon app d'analyse de la Variabilité de la Fréquence Cardiaque (VFC en français, HRV en anglais) elle me dit, sans rougir, que ce matin je suis grosso modo comme d'hab, avec 90% de bien être par rapport à mes mesures habituelles MAIS AUSSI EN MÊME TEMPS que j'ai des scores pourris pour le stress et l'énergie (détails dans les capture écrans)
Ça résume bien ma vie je crois
Et celle de beaucoup d'autistes qui ont probablement des scores farfelus comme les miens (la VFC mauvaise c'est commun chez les neuroatypiques)
