People love to bash Israel but this AIJAC video op-ed by Eylon Levy of the Israeli Citizens' Spokesperson Office makes extremely important points about the conflicts in the Middle East. Until the United Nations directly calls out Iran and its terrorist organization proxies, they will continue to wage war against Israel and provoke further Israeli responses.
Everyone protesting against Israel's actions in #Gaza is equally responsible in burying the culpability for the attacks that provoke Israeli responses if they say nothing about #Iran, #Hamas, #Hezbollah, the #Houthis, and the various #Iraqi Shiite militias that vow to destroy Israel.
The Palestinian civilians who are suffering under Hamas' brutal regime and the Lebanese civilians who live under the threat of Hezbollah retribution cannot be helped by pointless protests against "Israeli genocide".
Netanyahu's policies are obviously, clearly cruel and designed to inflict as much harm and suffering as possible on the Gazan civilian population. But if you force Israel to stand down now, Hamas will re-arm, re-organize, and plan new - even worse - assaults against Israel.
If you stop condemning Hamas because of the children they have put in harm's way, you only put more Palestinian children in harm's way.
If you stop condemning Hezbollah because of the families that have been forced from their homes in southern Lebanon, you only force more Lebanese families out of their homes.
Silence is support. Lack of condemnation is approval.
Blaming only Israel for the ongoing violence is as wrong as dropping the bombs yourself.
In modern history, the only nation that ever gave the Palestinians of Gaza complete and total freedom was Israel - and Hamas took that freedom away from them in less than 2 years.
