My favorite thing about #LikeADragon #Ishin is that it's about the #Japanese period with the #BlackShips, where an American Admiral drove to Japan, scared the everloving shit out of the country with their ships, demanded "open up japan to international trade or I'll fucking shoot", and it WORKED.

And that sounds like the most #Yakuza plot ever but it is real history. It's the most American threat possible and it's real and I love it I love my country:

It's like an alternate universe/timeline yakuza game set in the 1600s with characters rather blatantly filled in with past Yakuza voice actors/likenesses, pretty neat! Kuze is in it. Had a lot of fun with it so far! Been doing too many side quests and neglecting the main story until now, already 44% complete, which in Yakuza, is a lot. Well I guess it's back to the Japanese title Like A Dragon now.

I actually really like that in #LikeADragon #Ishin all the peasants and stuff talk in low class sorta modern-ish slang in the localization (relevant cultural terms aside)

Random peasants absolutely talked like "country trash" or whatever at...well, all times in history, not like (relatively) "Say prithee lord-wife, shalln't we gallantly shucketh an mote` of the goldenfruit so div'ine'ly labeled sucheth as ..."corn"?"

Started #LikeADragon #Ishin! Needed something to play along side #WildArms 3...another super long game wasn't probably the best idea but for now I'm enjoying my freedom lol.

Seems good so far, sorta a twist on the first game's combat system, or at least it's remake I didn't play it on PS1.
