Recently, I received a condescending call from someone who seemed to lack any real experience, telling me that my multiple and complex disabilities aren’t debilitating enough to qualify for help from the . This is yet another frustrating example of being .

As for my mental health struggles, I’m navigating multiple issues, including , while my is dismissed.

The is a jobs creation scam for the healthcare (and legal) sector. Pure and simple.

The fact that you can't even get an answer as to *whether* something would be eligible (even hypothetically) to be funded as a support until *after* you're signed up with (and therefore caused to be funded) a local community service provider, been considered "fully supported" and THEN applied for the NDIS, with expensive doctor reports etc says it all.

I do so enjoy having a young person with (seemingly) no lived experience, condescendingly tell me that my multiple and complex serious disabilities are not enough to warrant assistance from the .

I will say it again, and I will keep saying it. This is another perfect example of being “Disabled By Society.”

It also doesn’t help that QSTARS have told me, as hard as I try - I will not secure alt accommodation.

Not a person, hardly even a meaningful statistic.

THIS is #FND.
In Australia being denied disability supports like #NDIS, DSP etc and fall through the public #healthcare cracks, because very few medical providers know what it is not how to treat it.

Yet 16% of FND patients will go onto be diagnosed with MS…..

The #NDIS is so badly run. So far I have enquired about my reason for being turned down in my first application, because it was so nonsensical. I got transferred to a supervisor because the helpdesk couldn't help. They thought it was so ridiculous they helped me write a complaint.
The #NDIA complaint team passed on the feedback and helped me complain about my Local Area Coordinator. I spoke to the Senior LAC at the provider and now they seem to be my LAC.

What a complete load of garbage by the Coalition - The cost of the scheme is not out of control & the overall benefits to society, the economy and individuals just keeps going up but neither party is talking about the financial benefits of the scheme: Guardian News: Coalition denies plans to slash NDIS, but says cost is ‘out of control’ theguardian.com/australia-news

Have question.

#PWD on #NDIS: What/how much has been cut from your funding in recent years?

Anyone on a reasonable package?

Or got more funding rather than less?

Input appreciated. Nobody knows what’s happening inside the system. I’m applying at worst possible time in NDIS history. I couldn’t when it was rolling through because my abusers deliberately went on a holiday & left me struggling.😔

Government power used ‘to confuse & to exhaust’.

When our welfare systems are so punitive & convoluted & their administration so inept, surely this is a political choice? Their hell of dealing with them effectively deters anyone with any choice from accessing support, while their branding offers a political win.

Whose interests are served by this cruelty? Not mine. Not yours.
