Just watched the New Horizons Symphony production of Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana".
One highlight was conductor Stephanie Reyes ACING the first half, easily the best direction I've ever heard of this music. Second half was also strong.
Another highlight was the Coro Infantile Saleciano de Juárez, a young girl's choir from south of the border, coming in and singing second half.
The standing ovation just didn't stop.

NMSU's new president wasted no time, announcing on Jan. 2 (his first business day in the job after an interim period) that he had canned Mario Moccia as the university athletics director following a scathing report by New Mexico's Attorney General about conditions for student athletes.
