If we lose sight of #RightOfReturn as a central cause of #Palestine, then compromises will be made that will keep Palestinians dispossessed. So much of the reason why right of return is being swept under the rug is that it requires Israelis to lose #land. #Apartheid, #occupation, and #genocide all exist to enforce the original #dispossession of the #Nakba. #SouthAfrica is often upheld as a model, but the land there still remained controlled by the colonizers. This is soft #Zionism.

No food or medical supplies, nothing has been allowed into Gaza for a month by the murdering Jewish-supremacist colonial administration.
Meanwhile plans proced to annex and clear all of Palestine of the Palestinians.
I do hope that one day, from the river to the sea, #Palestine will be free, but I have little hope given all the anabling governments from Budapest to London to Washington to Berlin.
#Nakba #genocide

Quoting Israeli Journalist Israel Frey: "We cannot sugar-coat reality"

Israeli journalist Israel Frey speaks out after being investigated by police for his social media posts. He refuses to be silenced despite intimidation tactics, stating: "The voice of morality, conscience and justice will continue to be heard despite their efforts." Frey criticizes ongoing oppression in #Palestine, including the massacre in #Gaza and detention conditions. He emphasizes that true equality will eventually prevail despite the current political climate.

[…] When I arrived at the interrogation, I was confronted with a series of completely legitimate tweets I had published. Common to all of them is the distinction I insist on making between the reprehensible harm to civilians, women and children versus warfare or harm to armed security forces, particularly in apartheid territories. This distinction is factually necessary and morally correct. Even in Israel, which has been founded from its first day on Jewish supremacy and the oppression of the other people. This standard exists and is present in discourse - both in media terminology and in the statements of politicians, leaders and opinion makers. The attempt to blur this distinction is essentially an attempt to erase the existence of the asymmetrical situation between the occupier and the occupied, between the oppressor and the oppressed.

[…] Oppression has various faces and methods. It begins with the expulsion of residents from more than 600 villages in 1948 and 1949, continues with military rule and a more elegant occupation with a military legal system of 'Civil Administration.' Certainly now the oppression is more blatant. We've moved from a supposedly 'enlightened' occupation, with slick language and attempts to present the sophisticated map of oppression in a way more palatable to Israelis and to the outside world, to a much more explicit place. Now they're not ashamed of killing children and don't even pretend to maintain any morality within the oppression.

Quoting Stephen Kapos on the duty to stand against injustice:

[...] I say this as a Holocaust Survivor that the genocide in Gaza, is not happening in my name and in our name. The way that the Israeli government is using the memory of the Holocaust in order to justify what they're doing to the Gazans is a complete insult to the memory of the Holocaust it's an outrage. When I saw the Israeli ambassador to the United Nations putting on a yellow star it was stomach turning. Somebody who had to wear a yellow star like myself and my entire family I'm insulted by that.

[...] What distinguishes the Jewish Holocaust is its industrial scale and industrial methods being applied. And what has been happening to Gaza is similar in that the scale of the bombing and the indiscriminate nature of the bombing the complete lack of care about children and women being the majority of the victims amounts to Industrial scale of genocide.

[...] Some of the actions of the Nazi state in dehumanising and completely cruel large scale killings etc, if it is repeated I don't see why you couldn't make the parallel it can only be helpful in understanding what's going on to make the parallel I don't think there should be any taboo against that.

[...] I felt it completely incomprehensible really how you can do anything but totally condemn quite clear genocide and anybody who doesn't do that it will be Revisited on him or her to to look back on to be on the wrong side of history and and seriously guilty and that goes for the UK government to Keir Stramer and the shadow cabinet and some of the church leaders, the chief rabbi completely identifies with Israel and Zionism.

[...] I think it's important to stand up against this conflation that is propagated between Jewishness and Zionism if you do not stand up and criticize it and divorce yourself from it, then it sort of besmirches all Jews basically...
