While #Starmer has a pop at Regulators in general, a chance to ask: does the public know what the 2013 #Tory creation, "Prudential Regulation Authority" does anyway, and could it at least please be given a plain english title that reflects its function? From its website, it is 'part of' the Bank of England. So why call it something archaic right out of Rees Mogg's 'The Victorians', that OED lists as probably obsolete, and means, at best "The Careful & Avoiding Risks Regulation Authority"?
