Had a lovely Sunday chasing QRS and calling CQ QRS. More than half of the stations I worked today were below 15WPM. Glad to work them to "give back" as encouragement because I still remember the silence when calling CQ QRS very well
Yesterday I spent two hours participating in the SAC CW contest, toward the end if it. It was my first time in a CW contest. I used a straight key and just 10 W. I made 23 contacts in 2 h, all in the 15-m band. Some stations slowed down for my 13-14 WPM. Others did not, but all were kind to repeat for me when asked NR? My gratitude to all of them.

@IU1KGS Some nice operators who cannot easily reprogram their keyer to go slower reply by adding spacing between characters. That's usually OK with me. Other operators slow down but, since they are not used to the slow speed, add an extra dit or miss a dit here or there. In general, ops are quite nice to me (Usually 13 WPM or so while on SOTA) and I am very thankful for that. #cw #sota #QRS
#QRS #POTA Good blog post on being a courteous operator (and why being a CW speed demon is not desirable) #hamradio #MorseCode via @VE6LK https://hamonabike.blogspot.com/2023/03/please-slow-down.html
I just checked in to the Ohio Slow Net. While I was there, I gave out #POTA points for TN, NE, and NC!

I just checked in to Ohio Slow Net. I am trying to do this as many times per week as I can. It's at 1800 EDT weekdays. I think there were three other checkins.
Were you affected by the storms on January 12th? If so, just a few minutes of your time to complete this survey will help us understand and serve you even better in the future. https://bit.ly/3H7KuxW #gawx #qrs
