zimpenfish<p>Do I know anyone who runs <code>rspamd</code> and can tell me how to whitelist some idiots who keep tripping <code>Heuristics.Phishing.Email.SpoofedDomain</code> (because they insist on having links to <code>xyz.abc.com</code> with title <code>abc.com</code>)? None of <code>surbl-whitelist.inc</code>, <code>spf_dkim_whitelist.inc.local</code>, <code>dkim_whitelist.inc.local</code>, or <code>spf_whitelist.inc.local</code>, and neither did putting the base domain into <code>phishing_whitelist.inc</code>. Wondering if I need to put <code>xyz.abc.com</code> into the phishing whitelist as well?</p><p><a class="hashtag" href="https://social.rjp.is/tag/rspamd" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#rspamd</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://social.rjp.is/tag/selfhosting" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#selfhosting</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://social.rjp.is/tag/email" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#email</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://social.rjp.is/tag/woe" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#woe</a></p>
Peter Lord<p>A couple of years ago I fell out with <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/gmail" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>gmail</span></a> and migrated to <a href="https://privateemail.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">privateemail.com</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p><p>I&#39;ve now fallen out with privateemail and decided to selfhost (again).</p><p>Now running <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/postfix" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>postfix</span></a>, <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/dovecot" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>dovecot</span></a>, <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/rspamd" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>rspamd</span></a> and others via docker-mailserver. Had to use <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/smtp2go" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>smtp2go</span></a> for outbound due to relay issues.</p><p>Also selfhosting <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/radicale" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>radicale</span></a> for calendar/contacts and <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/immich" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>immich</span></a> for photos.</p><p>So far so good ... seems faster than I had before plus <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/opensource" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>opensource</span></a>. kravietz 🦇<p>I have just discovered that <a class="hashtag" href="https://agora.echelon.pl/tag/rspamd" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Rspamd</a> 3.9 added support for <a class="hashtag" href="https://agora.echelon.pl/tag/llm" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#LLM</a> - documented GPT-3.5 and GPT-4o, but I suppose any other OpenAI will work. You do need an OpenAI API key.</p><pre><code># gpt.conf enabled = true; api_key = "YOUR API KEY"; model = "gpt-4o-mini"; </code></pre><p>Cost for a personal email server will be marginal, as Rspamd only consults LLM when other modules have doubts.</p><p><a href="https://rspamd.com/misc/2024/07/03/gpt.html" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://rspamd.com/misc/2024/07/03/gpt.html</a></p><p>In the other news, if you use <a class="hashtag" href="https://agora.echelon.pl/tag/phishing" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#phishing</a> module in Rspamd you probably need to add explicit <code>openphish_map</code> option because for me the default OpenPhish map URL doesn’t work as it’s now a 302 redirect to GitHub and Rspamd refuses to follow it:</p><pre><code># phishing.conf openphish_enabled = true; openphish_map = "https://raw.githubusercontent.com/openphish/public_feed/refs/heads/main/feed.txt"; </code></pre>
raspbeguy<p><span class="h-card"><a href="https://mastodon.neilzone.co.uk/@neil" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>neil</span></a></span> until last week I hosted my family's personnal mailbox on my own mail infrastructure (in a single OVH instance, not on my home connection because I wanted maximum uptime) with <a href="https://social.gugod.fr/tags/opensmtpd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>opensmtpd</span></a>, <a href="https://social.gugod.fr/tags/dovecot" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>dovecot</span></a> and <a href="https://social.gugod.fr/tags/rspamd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>rspamd</span></a> on Alpine Linux, and for deliverability I had to relay through <a href="https://social.gugod.fr/tags/smtp2go" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>smtp2go</span></a>, a professional external relay (too much hassle with IP reputation). I switched to Infomaniak for my personnal mailboxes for 5 reasons:<br>* I was so stressed to break something each time I upgraded the whole thing.<br>* I didn't want to take responsibility in case it went down.<br>* Spam management is not easy, and the mechanisms to make rspamd learn whether ham/spam whenever you move a message in or out the spambox was duct-taped and not satisfying.<br>* IMO the fact that I was relaying everything through a proprietary SMTP relay was defying the whole point of selfhosting your mail infrastructure.<br>* Infomaniak price is cheaper than the VPS infrastructure with extra volume space for mailboxes.<br><br>However, as I self-host a lot services (this time directly at home) which generate some email notifications, I setup a SMTP service on-prem to handle that, with a dedicated DKIM selector. It work quite good for now.</p>
