Escondido has a park where they have gathered historical objects and buildings, including the Santa Fe station.

TBT Seven years ago, we had this lovely spring rainstorm right at sunset just outside Santa Fe.
Next week around this time, monthly Design Corps Coffee — a meetup for local creatives, all are welcome: https://design-corps.org/events/corps-coffee/25-04-17/
Interesting to see how the one major cinema in #SantaFe has learned to survive, creatively using of its space for profit. E.g., actor Wes Studi lives here in town, and they got him to do an event, a Q&A and screening of HOSTILES, and sure enough, the event is completely sold out tonight. The cinema is bringing back movies like this all the time now, and even without Q&As with stars/crew, they're packing the house. The old movies are doing better than new crap.
"Thousands turned out to the Roundhouse in Santa Fe as part of the Hands Off national protest. And they brought signs."

Making an exception to my usual posts to let the world know we're doing what we can to stop the idiocy. We protested in the cold and snow today. Very big crowd. #SantaFe #NewMexico

I'm alarmed to be learning of #SantaFe city councilors, other high level city leadership, and disability "allies" censoring and excluding the disability community's voice in planning #Disability Community events and collaborations with the #LGBTQIA+ community in Santa Fe.
At a time when our marginalized communities are under attack, only those who are directly affected need to be leading their own survival efforts and celebrations.
This poor guy hangs around the neighborhood, always alone, and is often seen crossing the road around here.
His right antler is completely missing and he walks with a limp.
When he crosses the road it’s at a not-a-care-in-the-world pace, or, more likely, it’s the best the poor guy can do, given the limp. I fear an inattentive driver is going to run into him.
TBT Looking out over the spring landscape here in Portugal, it's hard to believe that 8 years ago I was walking in a snowstorm up in the mountains above Santa Fe.
In #SantaFe, long experience teaches you to best interpret “the plumber will be here between 1 and 3” as if the “1” and “3” are considered “days from now, if ever,” not as “between 1pm-3pm today.”
