UMD was much bigger, but did not dominate in the paint, or on the boards. 5'11" Bowen Born kept getting fed low and making plays.2. Small ColSt team had a big lead in offensive boards, but as soon as they made such rebounds, they couldn't find the net.3. Partly as a matter of officiating, the Terps could not find a way to exert significant foul pressure on the CoSt big men and got trapped too often under the basket without a way to get off a shot.4. CoSt went cold on 3-point shots (prior to 6.1 sec) after riding that to their first round upset of Memphis while the Terps 3-point shooting brought them back in H2.5. Julian Reese, a 63% career FT shooter made 5/5 FTs, including 4 huge ones down the stretch.6. MD keeping Queen at the top of the circle makes space, allows him to attack the basket with long strides, and perhaps most importantly, keeps him out of foul trouble on offensive boards.What a game!
