LoRa and 2m APRS on t'fells today. LoRa managed to track me pretty much the whole walk, whilst 2m was picked up about 70 miles away.
Can recommend the Heltec Tracker. Only used a little whip antenna. Seems ideal for #sota and #wota.
10 miles of pretty much open fell. Lots of it was wetter than an otters pocket under foot. Lots of birds tweeting as they don't like you near their nests...which are well hidden
Off for some #sota and #wota (Wainwrights - 214 Lakeland fells) tomorrow. No HF because the replacement mast section is still on its way.

The aim is Caw Fell. It has not been activated since 2019 when Reg 2e0ldf did it. It's a 10 mile walk and if all goes to plan, not expecting to see another soul.

I am a huge Himari wota. She is my Oshimen, my top idol. One of the high points in my life was meeting her at NW Idol Fest. I was high for days just from meeting her. She knew my name and we talked about the anime keychains that hang on my leather jacket.
Right up front, these videos don't have the best audio. I think they are fine, but I'm a Poppy wota, so my judgment may be off.
But I love Poppy, Menma, and Runaten!. Such upbeat and honest pop.
