There's a bit of discontent with #FreePBX to the point that a fork has been discussed. community.freepbx.org/t/suppor

The owner of the librepbx domains has not responded to my inquiry. I was investigating others and software that doesn't rely on Asterisk, and it's a little confusing. #Freeswitch and #Kamailio seem to be the primary competitors, and #Yate looks interesting.

I'd like to have a h.323 option because I think faxing may prefer that to t.38 which is poorly supported.

For users of Yate, the single greatest music-tagging app ever made (sadly Mac only):

I have made an action set which will automagically parse Work and Movement related tags from reasonably-formatted titles, as are usually provided from external sources. This allows players which support it to display a much more classical-music-oriented interface which allows the grouping of tracks by Works, and numbering of Movements separately to tracks and discs. It uses the "common prefix" of the track titles to detect the work name.

Screenshots show a demo picked at random from my "to sort" folder.

It is capable of correctly handling titles containing:

  • punctuation separating work and movement names, including dashes, commas, colons, or even only a space
  • decimal and roman numeral movement numbers, with variety of punctuation, between work and movement
  • no movement numbering, including words that start with valid roman numerals.
  • work and movement names containing all manner of punctuation marks.#MusicTagging #Yate:boost_ok:​

I select the four tracks in the work (String Quartet No. 1 in A major, Op. 16). And hovered over is the icon to run action 2, called "Title > Work + Movement"
While the action runs, it presents a dialog checking if it has correctly parsed the work & movement for the first selected track. In this case, it correctly selected the movement name as "Allegro molto", discarding the roman numerals and punctuation in between.
The final screenshot shows the Work Name, Movement Name, Movement Number, and Movement Count fields correctly filled on the third movement, as another example.
