Trump’s ambush of Zelensky killed #diplomacy

Instead of analyzing its political impact, let’s focus on details of #manners, gestures. It may seem less important, but reveal more about underlying basic stance

The #behavior of 2 #arrogant, self-assured US politicians treating the leader of #Ukraine in extremely #disrespectful, #brutal manner. The only country whose representatives using such brutal language is #Russia

AGNORANT (adj./noun): the perfect storm of stupidity & smugness. A walking talking monument to the Dunning Kruger effect. The guy who scoffs at epidemiologists while citing a Facebook meme, the uncle who thinks climate change is a hoax cuz it was cold last winter. Loud, wrong & proud of it. Armed with half baked opinions & zero self awareness. A plague upon discourse, a cancer on common sense.

For people who say “I am just asking questions about vaccines”: If you have the credentials to question something, if you have spent years studying a subject and researching it in a laboratory, sure, question things. But believing that you as a novice know more than people who have studied it all their lives is arrogance and ignorance. Dr. Google is not a doctor and does not make you a microbiologist.

Being #controversial and #opinionated here but ...well...here goes:

Why is it, in the #workplace, that younger people with fewer years #education and very little experience consider themselves to be more #competent than older people with an extensive education and decades of #experience?

In the past (when older people were younger) we respected the #knowledge of older people & what they could #teach us. We weren't #arrogant, #supercilious #egoists.

Digging back into the ol' Re-Creative podcast vaults, here's a great conversation Mark and I had with one third of the Arrogant Worms, Michael McCormick. Michael's conversational pick? The Dean of American Composers,” Aaron Copland. We talk about Copland's seminal composition Appalachian Spring.

Stay for the end of the podcast! So you can hear one of the Arrogant Worm’s classic symphonic fart jokes: “I Am Cow.” :-)
